JBird Construction is a family-owned construction and outdoor living company based in Longmont, Colorado. Owned and led by Longmont native Marcus Vasquez, we help homeowners throughout Longmont, Lyons, Boulder County, and surrounding Northern Colorado communities improve their homes with thoughtful designs, dependable craftsmanship, and hands-on project management.
Construction has always been part of Marcus’s life. His family has operated other construction companies, and their roots in the industry run deep. For Marcus, building is more than a job. He genuinely enjoys taking an idea, working through every detail, and creating something his clients can enjoy for years.
The name JBird Construction honors friends and family members Marcus and his family have lost over the years. Each letter represents someone whose memory remains important to them:
Their names became the foundation of the company name and serve as a reminder of the people who helped shape their lives. JBird Construction is built on family, memories, hard work, and the desire to create something meaningful.
Marcus Vasquez is the owner of JBird Construction and the main point of contact for every project. He believes homeowners deserve to know who is managing their project and what is happening at every stage.
Marcus begins by meeting personally with each client, listening to their ideas, and offering practical suggestions based on the property, goals, and budget. He then works on a detailed quote and, when appropriate, detailed designs that help the homeowner visualize the finished project before work begins.
Once the project is scheduled, Marcus coordinates materials and deliveries, moves trailers, helps get the crew started, visits the jobsite, monitors progress, and remains available to answer questions. His hands-on involvement helps keep projects moving efficiently while ensuring that every detail receives the attention it deserves.
Paver patios and complete outdoor makeovers are some of Marcus’s favorite projects. There is something special about taking an underused or outdated space and transforming it into an inviting place where people can relax, gather, and enjoy their home.
Our experience includes patios, landscaping, hardscaping, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, firepits, pergolas, pavilions, stone veneer, roofing, siding, gutters, and other exterior improvements. No matter the size of the project, we enjoy bringing a homeowner’s vision to life and seeing their reaction when the work is complete.
Our values guide the way we approach every project. We strive to provide:
We treat our clients the way we would want to be treated. That means listening carefully, communicating throughout the project, following through on our commitments, and doing everything we can to provide peace of mind from the initial consultation through the final walkthrough.
The quality of our work depends on the people completing it. Our crew members communicate well, take pride in their work, and genuinely enjoy what they do. We take care of our employees because they are part of the JBird Construction family.
Saul is a skilled and dependable crew leader known for his strong work ethic, knowledge, positive attitude, and attention to what needs to be done.
Andres is a knowledgeable worker and natural problem solver. He stays on top of project details and brings a determined, get-it-done attitude to every job.
Timoteo is an efficient and experienced crew leader who brings intelligence, skill, and a great attitude to the jobsite.
Gabriel is a valued member of our construction team and contributes to the quality work and dependable service our clients expect from JBird Construction.
Together, Marcus and the crew work to complete each project carefully, efficiently, and according to the plans discussed with the homeowner.
Marcus was born and raised in Longmont, and his family has worked in construction throughout the area for more than 15 years. He understands Northern Colorado because it is his home.
Longmont and its surrounding communities continue to grow and evolve, but the friendly people, mountain views, and strong sense of community make this area special. Marcus is proud to help local homeowners improve their properties and create outdoor spaces that fit the way they want to live.
Being locally rooted also means understanding the homes, landscapes, weather, and lifestyles found throughout Longmont, Lyons, Boulder County, and Northern Colorado. We bring that local familiarity to every design, recommendation, and construction project.
